Knit a Poppy

Knit a Poppy

By Susan Crawford

knitonthenet is proud to announce the return of our Knit a Poppy for Remembrance Day campaign in support of The Poppy Appeal.

The Royal British Legion provides financial, social and emotional support to millions who have served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces, and their dependants. Currently, nearly 10.5 million people are eligible for their support and they receive thousands of calls for help every year.

Our elegant poppy brooch pattern (designed by knitonthenet's very own Susan Crawford) is your way to help. For every poppy pattern sold a donation is made to The Poppy Appeal which supports the essential welfare work of The Royal British Legion.

Any double knit (sport weight) yarn can be used. You will need:
1 ball (or oddments) of red, black & leaf green yarns.
1 pair 4mm (US #6) needles
1 safety pin
