Hearts and Bunnies Cardigan

This 4 ply cardigan makes a great gift. It is knitted in one piece to the underarm, then is divided for the fronts and back. The pattern is a great introduction to both fair isle and intarsia techniques, using both in different parts of the cardigan. Knitted here in wool, it could be also be knitted in cotton and the sleeves shortened for a high summer look.

Materials

Biggan Design 4 ply Merino First Cross
100% merino wool (180m / 196yds per 50gm ball)
Main Colour (MC) ™ shade 925 (rose) ™ 3 balls
(A) - shade 610 (spruce) - 1ball
(B) - shade 080 (white) - 1 ball
(C) - shade 915 (vintage rose) - 1 ball

Rowan pure wool 4 ply (100% wool)
(160m / 174yds per 50gm ball)
(D) - shade 450 (eau de nil) - 2 balls.
(E) - shade 417 (mocha) - 1 ball

These are standard 4 ply (fingering weight) yarns

1 pair 3 mm (US 3) needles
1 pair 3.25 mm (US 4) needles
