Stringtidy

Pattern

Using 12 mm (US #17) circular needle, cast on 20sts. Join the round.
Round 1: purl.
Round 2: * K2, P2, rep from * to end of round.

Repeat round 2 only for a further 8 rounds in total leaving enough yarn to cast off purlwise.

Can also be knitted on 2 needles. Work in K2, P2 rib substituting rows for rounds and make up by joining seam with leftover yarn.

Tips on knitting with supreme felt.

If the tension is too tight the fabric will feel hard and more yarn is used this way. For a looser knit try using a bigger sized needle.

A new hank may be joined in by knotting the ends but this can look unsightly and uses a bit more yarn. For an invisible finish lay the end of the yarn flat over the new end overlapping by about 1cm (0.5 ins) and sew in place using thread or a yarn in a matching colour.

No need to steam or press your finished article.

As with all woollen articles care should be taken in washing your finished items. Can be hand washed at 30°C or use a cool delicate wool cycle in a machine with the addition of fabric softener in the final rinse if desired. If in any doubt hand wash only and never tumble dry!

See our yarn review in issue 6 about this unique yarn.
