The quintessential LBD. The dress is worked from the top down, beginning at the shoulders. With clever construction it is knitted flat for the top, and in the round for the skirt.

Materials

Yarn: Elizabeth Lavold Hempathy
(24% Hemp / 41% Cotton/ 25% Modal) 50g=140m/153 yds
For full dress: 10 (11) balls of colour 01
For tunic: 6 (7) balls of color 01

3.25mm (US #3) straight/DPNs or any length of circular needle

3.5mm (US #4) 16, 32 and 40-inch circular needle

3.75mm (US #5) 24, 32 and 40-inch circular needle

Ribbon - Two, 2 yard strands of 4mm width in black or one 2 yard strand in 8mm width. Options for working the dress without the ribbon are given.

Sizes

To fit bust size 28-33 (34-37) inches (due to the yarn and style of the dress at the bust area, the range of sizes it will fit is relatively wide).

Actual bust measurement: 28 (30.5) inches

Length of skirt at beginning of empire line: approx 24.5 inches.

Length at beginning of empire line if working tunic top: approx 10 inches.
