Denise needles Set of Denise interchangeable knitting needles

Pattern

Photo2 This 'pattern' is really more of an explanation than a pattern. I decided that I would like to see what happened if I used every needle size available in the Denise Interchangeable needle set. The scarf is worked entirely in garter stitch (every row knit)

The design is totally flexible and can be made longer, wider or narrower, with one colour or several, whichever you prefer.

There is therefore no set tension or finished dimensions to this project.

Cast on 38sts using 4mm (US #6) needles and your choice of yarn colour.
Knit 20 rows and then change one of the needles, knit a few more rows and then change again, and so on, changing one or both needle sizes as the scarf progresses, deliberately going smaller and larger to create a 'concertina' effect. After the first ball of yarn is used, join in the second colour, then back to the first, then finally the second.

Finish the scarf with several rows on 4mm (US #6) needles to stabilise the scarf.

Making Up
