Didn't we have a lovely time...

By the knitonthenet team

At 10am on Saturday 10th November, 2007 we, as sponsors, along with organisers I Knit London and a host of other traders welcomed enthusiastic knitters to the First Official UK Stitch and Bitch Day at The Royal National Hotel in London.

Knitters came from all over the world to meet knitting legend Debbie Stoller.

Iknit Buyers As soon as the doors opened, fans of Debbie Stoller made a bee line for the I Knit London bookstore to be the first in the world to get their copies of her latest book.

Workshop Debbie Stoller Debbie also presented a knitting workshop to a very lucky group of ladies.

Pompoms There were several other great workshops and talks during the day from Jean Moss, Jane Brocket, Betsan Corkhill, our own Jane Waller and even a chance to make pom poms with Amy Lamé

Yarn There was a wonderful selection of yarns to purchase from the likes of Natural Dye Studio, Fyberspates, Artesano Alpaca and many more

Crowd And when people were tired of buying yarn (if only that were possible) there was a wonderful lounge to sit and stitch and, you guessed it, bitch.

Fashion There was entertainment throughout the day, the highlight of which had to be the Son of Stitch N Bitch fashion show, with the guys in the crowd jumping at the chance to become supermodels for the day.

We had a wonderful day, and we hope everyone at the show did too and we hope to see you all again next year.
