Lydia Flowers - Corsage/brooch/adornment

Materials
1 pair size 4mm needles (US #6)
Oddments of DK weight handspun 100% wool
Pattern
(this adornment is made up of three flowers knitted separately then sewn together)

Large Flower (make 1)
Cast on 98 stitches using 4mm (US #6) needles.
Row 1: K1, *cast off 3 sts, K2, rep from * to last st, K1. (50 sts)
Row 2: Purl.
Row 3: K1, *cast off 2 sts, K2 to last 3 sts, K2tog., K1 (30 sts)
Row 4: Purl.
Row 5: K1, *cast off 2 sts, K2, rep from * to last st, K1. (18 sts)
Row 6: Purl.
Row 7: Knit.
Row 8: Purl.
Row 9: Knit.
Row 10: Purl.
Run wool through remaining stitches and finish off.
Medium Flower (make 1)
Cast on 68 sts using 4mm (US #6) needles.
Row 1: K1, * cast off 3sts, K2, rep from * to last st, K1. (35 sts)
Row 2: Purl.
Row 3: K1, * cast off 2 sts, K2 to last 3 sts., cast off 2 sts, K1. (21 sts)
Row 4: Purl.
Row 5: K1, * K2tog, K1 rep from *to last 2 sts K2tog. (14 sts)
Row 6: Purl.
Row 7: K2tog across the row. (7 sts)
Row 8: Purl.
Run wool through remaining stitches and finish off.
Small Flower (make 1)
Cast on 56 sts using 4mm (US #6) needles.
Row 1: K1, * cast off 3 sts, k2 rep from *to last st, K1. (29 sts)
Row 2: Purl.
Row 3: K1, * cast off 2 st, K2, rep from * to last 3 sts, K2tog, K1. (18 sts)
Row 4: Purl.
Row 5: K1, * K2tog, rep from * to end. (12 sts)
Run wool through remaining stitches and finish off.
Making Up
Darn in all ends. Put each flower inside each other and stitch through centre of all three flowers. Sew beads onto corsage as shown in photo if required.
