By knitonthenet

Photo

Materials

Sirdar Organza Yarn (50g/50m approx)
80% Polyamide, 20% Cotton

2 x 50gm balls (shade 282)

1 pair 12mm(US #17) needles

Pattern Notes

This pattern can be used with yarns of all types. We have used three different yarns to show the different effects. Using 50gm balls all take at least 2 balls to achieve scarf length, but you can keep knitting until the scarf is as long as you want it to be - it just may take longer than 2 hours to achieve.

Scarf

Cast on 15sts using 12mm(US #17) needles and chosen yarn.
Knit 1 row.

Next row: Insert RH needle into next st. Wrap yarn 3 times round needle, draw through to make st.
Rep to end of row.
Next row: Knit through front loop of each st., dropping wrapped yarn between sts. (15sts)
Give work a little pull to stretch scarf.
Next row: Knit.
These 3 rows form pattern. Repeat until scarf is required length. Cast off.

Making Up

Darn in all ends. Put kettle on, make cuppa, all in under two hours.
