Fingerless Boucle Gloves

Materials

1 hank of Rooster Boucle yarn (superfine merino wool boucle loop yarn 200m / 100g)
96% wool / 4% nylon

1 pair 4.5mm (US #7) needles
3 pairs of buttons
(we used Button Company Mother of Pearl flower buttons and coconut buttons)

Pattern instructions

(Make 2)
Cast on 40 stitches using 4.5mm (US #7) needles.
Work in garter stitch (every row knit) for 45 rows.
Cast off.

Making up

Darn in all ends. Sew up along the cast on and cast off edges using mattress stitch (with wrong sides together), leaving a 4cm (1 1/2 inch) thumb hole approximately 5cm (2 inches) from the top of the glove.

Turn right side out so that the seam is on the inside of the glove, sew three buttons together at the 'finger' end of the glove. (See photo).
