Susan CrawfordEditor, Commissioning Editor, Writer, Designer, Stylist and Photographer Susan curates the website, commissioning the designs and articles. She edits and prepares all content and passes it on to Gavin. Susan also writes for the website as well as designing under both her own name, and her design name, Just call me Ruby. She is responsible for styling, hair and make up and is principle photographer on the photo shoots. Susan studied Fashion and Textiles followed by a City & Guilds in Creative Studies (hand knitting) and finally qualified as a lecturer a few years ago. She co-authored A Stitch in Time: Vintage Knitting & Crochet Patterns, 1920-1949: Vol 1, with Jane Waller and since then has also written and published her own book, Vintage Gifts to Knit. She is currently working on a number of other book projects including A Stitch In Time - Volume 2 and Vintage Shetland. You can read more about these projects on Susan's website, www.susancrawfordvintage.com, her blog, Just call me Ruby, and on the knitonthenet blog too. Susan also designs and writes for The Knitter and Knitting and has had work published in both magazines, plus Yarn Forward, Selvedge and Knitty. Susan other passions include cooking, reading, sewing, fashion and particularly film, especially when combined with knitting. Susan can be contacted on: editor_at_knitonthenet.com. Gavin CrawfordGraphic Artist, Web Designer, Web Editor Gavin takes all the raw material that is thrown at him: images, documents, patterns, even hand drawn charts, and turns them into the website. Gavin has recently worked on the re-design of knitonthenet, working both on the look and feel of the site, as well as the code that drives the site in the background. Also, he has worked on all the artwork for all other in-house book projects including A Stitch In Time volume 1 and volume 2. Gavin has been a graphic artist for over 27 years and has also written many computer programmes and applications for both garphics manipulation and website construction and has designed, built and developed websites for many years. Computers are his first love and he is proud to be a geek. Gavin also loves playing guitar, fishing, shooting, woodwork, eating, sleeping and occasionally, knitting! He is currently building a kitchen for Susan too. Gavin can be contacted with technical queries on: webmaster_at_knitonthenet.com You can also follow Gavin on twitter as @GivvyGavvyGoo |
